Quantity

Bulk purchasing

Bulk, here, means a quantity large enough that storage, cash, and specification consistency matter. It does not mean a published discount, and it does not mean the goods are available.

A larger order is a different conversation from a working quantity. SummitCore will talk about it when the specification is stable enough to quote. The note on buying in bulk is the buyer-side checklist. This page is how we expect the enquiry to be framed.

What we need in order to discuss volume

  • The specification, tight enough that two people would order the same item.
  • The quantity, and whether it is a one-time buy or an estimate of repeating use.
  • Where it would be received, at least as a ZIP, and whether you can store it.
  • Whether a partial quantity is useful.
  • What happens if the exact item cannot be sourced.

What a bulk enquiry is not

It is not a reservation. It is not a price tier. It is not evidence that SummitCore holds that quantity. If a quotation is later issued, the quantity that price applies to will be written there.

Categories where quantity changes the spec

Packaging is the clearest example: film gauge and carton board are not “about the same” at pallet scale. Read packaging and warehouse supplies and the requirements note before you send a large packaging list. Maintenance and general commercial repeats are often simpler, and still need a unit of measure.
